IMPORTANT PLEASE READ
In order to enter the chat room please choose a name and stick with it, or something really close to that name. You CAN NOT have any spaces in your name. If you use a space in your name in the logon area it will automatically put an underline in it's place. I would prefer you do not sign in with a punctuation instead of a name. Although there is a place for passwords in login box, you do not need one. It is used for administrators/moderators only. Once in the chat room. On the left side of chat window you will see some buttons, as follows: FLOAT: I would suggest that you should click on this one. It will take your chat room off the web page and let you move it around or enlarge it, depending on which you prefer to do. It will also allow the multi-taskers to do just that. HELP: Using this button will give you a help page that has a list of all the functions of the chat room. COLORS: You can change your font color here. Please do not use any of the light colors, since these are very hard to see on the light background in the chat room. TIME STAMP: Click here to check if you want to see the time that everyone is sending messages through chat. AUDIO: Although you will see a check mark here, to actually hear all sounds you will need to uncheck and recheck this. To change your font size, right click where you read messages. The list will pop up for different options, including font sizes. To use the emoticons (smilies), and sounds you can type them in, or right click where you type, the list will pop up for those options.
IGNORE: If you find you need to put someone on ignore right click on that persons name and click on ignore. UNIGNORE: To take someone off your ignore, again right click on their name and unignore. To PC someone just click twice on their name. Just like in the ORB chat room a new window should pop up. For the multi-taskers. To MT just float the room. Click on the ad logo for a new window to open where you can surf from. If you use a pop up blocker you may need to click and hold the ctrl key down while doing this ACTIONS: We will make our own using the /a. Example; /a waves to the room, you will see (your name) waves to the room Any person not following the rules or causing trouble will first be asked to stop and reminded of the rules. If this doesn't stop them they will then kicked from the room. Anyone spouting continuous foul language will receive an immediate kick without the warnings first. There is a profanity filter in place. If you use a word not allowed you will get a message to that effect. This filter is there to stop the words not for you to figure out how to get around it and use these words anyway. |
